Costas Cleanthous, Founder and CEO
As the founder of Trading Point of Financial Instruments Ltd, Mr. Cleanthous has more than 10 years experience in the financial services industry, and is dedicated to offering individual and corporate investors lucrative financial solutions through expertise and competitive services.Mr. Cleanthous graduated with a BSc in Business Mathematics and Statistics from The London School of Economics and a MSc in Shipping, Trade and Finance from City Business School. He also holds the Certificate of Professional Competence in accordance with MiFID (Markets in Financial Instruments Directive), issued by the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Cyprus.

The year 1999 marks a crucial turning point for Mr. Cleanthous, as this is when he joined the financial services industry as an Investment Analyst and later as Corporate Finance Consultant. His business ambition gave him the impetus to actively participate in several initial and secondary public offerings and mergers and acquisitions (M&A’s). During his career, he worked as an interbank trader and fund manager in foreign exchange, equities and commodity markets for several Greece-, Ukraine-, and UK-based financial institutions.

Responsible for the corporate strategic management of the company and in charge of new business development, Mr. Cleanthous is driven by the mission to ensure first-class financial services with a global reach.

As a strategic business partner with the operating units of Trading Point of Financial Instruments Ltd, Mr. Mavrommatis plays a key role in the company management.Mr. Mavrommatis graduated with a BSc in Business Mathematics and Statistics and a MSc in Shipping, Trade and Finance from City University Business School. He started working in the financial services industry as early as 1999, first as corporate dealer in the Treasury Department of Laiki Bank, Greece. Here he was in charge of providing corporate clients with investment advice, and he significantly contributed to the selection and implementation of the treasury system of Laiki Group. This was followed by his position as a proprietary trader in foreign exchange, bonds and futures markets.

In 2007, Mr. Mavrommatis became Corporate Manager of Schulte Group, a worldwide leading ship-owning and ship management international company, where he was in charge of the corporate financial, legal and tax issues of Schulte Group’s Cyprus-based companies.

Mr. Mavrommatis is responsible for the overall strategic management of the company’s financial control unit, including the Accounting Department and Back Office Department.

Dr. Loizides brings along extensive knowledge and a hands-on approach to managing the company’s Information Technology Department. His career spans over 10 years of professional experience, along with versatile competencies in the field of latest computer technologies.Dr. Loizides graduated with a BSc in Computer Science from the University College London, UK, and holds a PhD in Computer Graphics and Virtual Reality from the same institution. Between 1999-2004, he worked as a freelance developer and consultant for customized software solutions and internet programming in the UK, and as visiting lecturer at the University of Westminster between 2000-2003.

Since 2003, Dr. Loizides has been Assistant Professor and Head of the Computing Dept. at P.A. College, Cyprus. Apart from regular publications in the field of information visualization and evolutionary computation, Dr. Loizides is an active contributor to academic research projects, and a regular reviewer of conference and journal papers. He is also excels as an international conference presenter (including Siggraph 2011) and as organizing chairman of ACM VRST 2006.

As Chief Information Officer, Dr. Loizides is in charge of ensuring that IT engineers maintain high-standard operations for our company services.

Pambos Panayiotou joined XEMarkets in 2012, bringing along extensive know-how in the field of financial markets and business development. His career of over 12 years encompasses an impressive array of financial expertise.Mr. Panayiotou graduated from the London School of Economics and Political Science in 1999, where he obtained a BSc in Actuarial Science and a MSc in Finance and Economics. He worked as an Investment Banking Executive at Cyprus Investments and Securities Corporation, where his main responsibilities involved corporate consulting, company valuations and underwriting of IPOs on the Cyprus Stock Exchange.

In 2005, Mr Panayiotou was assigned to the position of the Head of the Group Institutional Wealth Management and Treasury Markets unit at the Bank of Cyprus, where he adopted a holistic approach to liaising with large institutional clients. He was responsible for institutional clients’ deposits and investments in excess of EUR 2 billion, and for structuring effective currency, interest rate and commodity risk management solutions, as well as providing institutional and corporate clients with yield enhancement investment ideas.

In 2011, Mr Panayiotou was appointed the Vice President of Barclays Bank, where he spearheaded the bank’s investment advisory services in Cyprus, addressed to the bank’s private, corporate and institutional clients. Moreover, he is also a Chartered Financial Analyst charterholder and a Fellow of the Cyprus Association of Actuaries and currently the President of the CFA Society Cyprus.

At XEMarkets, Mr Panayiotou is responsible for identifying new business opportunities and developing new investment products for clients, as well as in charge of the corporate strategic management of the company.

Mr. Papanastasiou is a key contributor to the company’s strategic planning and structured decision-making.Having graduated with a Bsc in Military Studies from the Hellenic Military Academy in Athens, Greece, Mr. Papanastasiou also holds a LL.B (Hons.) law degree and an MA in Propaganda and Persuasion from The University of Kent, Canterbury. Along with his academic knowledge, he has a strong business and financial acumen that he has successfully developed during his career.

Mr. Papanastasiou has effectively combined his knowledge in the field of legislation with his experience in corporate online communications. He has been member of the Cyprus Bar Association as an attorney since 2000, and he is Managing Director of a Cyprus-based international marketing company that he founded in the same year, specializing in search engine optimization.

As Non-Executive Director of Trading Point of Financial Ltd and Member of the Board of Directors, Mr. Papanastasiou acts as an independent advisor offering consultation in online marketing and SEO, and ensures the efficiency of the company’s corporate communications channels.

Mr. Pouroutis plays a fundamental role in expanding company growth, as his strength lies in the three main attributes of his work as Business Development Director: people, technology, and information. He graduated with a BSc in Management Information System at Intercollege, Nicosia, Cyprus. In 2006, he joined MetaQuotes Software Corp. as Manager of the Main International Sales Department, where he proved great efficiency in generating sales leads and business for white labels products. Moreover, he became a MetaTrader4 technical expert – a highly valued competency in the field of automated trading.Having developed a keen interest in the forex markets, along with an insatiable thirst for a dynamic sales activity, Mr. Pouroutis joined Trading Point of Financial Instruments Ltd in 2010. Thanks to his dynamic attitude, sales experience and business acumen, he has largely contributed to the overall growth of the company. He is also the driving force of the Customer Relations Department, ensuring that all client requests are processed smoothly and quickly. Due to his expertise in the MetaTrader4 trading system, Mr Pouroutis contributes effectively to handling client and trading operations.

Mr. Pouroutis is responsible for the company’s corporate business development, as well as the management of client relations for successful external communications.

Being in charge of corporate marketing communications, Mr. Zacharia facilitates company development through inter-departmental workflow management, brand development and strategic marketing.Mr. Zacharia holds a BSc in Business Management from the American College of Greece. After completing his studies, he worked as a trainee for an online marketing company, where he gained knowledge in UI design, social media, web development, SEO and SEM by cooperating with worldwide industry experts from various online retail industries. Due to his experience, he was promoted to the position of search engine marketing, SEO and website interface development consultant to external clients, a business area where he developed his skills both in Cyprus and Greece.

After joining Trading Point of Financial Instruments Ltd in 2011, he has largely contributed to the success of the company with his extensive experience in the latest marketing trends, strong project management skills, and technical knowledge.

Mr. Zacharia is responsible for the company’s Marketing Department, and coordinates all operations related to online marketing, concept management, brand management, affiliate marketing, as well as website design and UI development.
