Pambos Panayiotou joined XEMarkets in 2012, bringing along extensive know-how in the field of financial markets and business development. His career of over 12 years encompasses an impressive array of financial expertise.Mr. Panayiotou graduated from the London School of Economics and Political Science in 1999, where he obtained a BSc in Actuarial Science and a MSc in Finance and Economics. He worked as an Investment Banking Executive at Cyprus Investments and Securities Corporation, where his main responsibilities involved corporate consulting, company valuations and underwriting of IPOs on the Cyprus Stock Exchange.
In 2005, Mr Panayiotou was assigned to the position of the Head of the Group Institutional Wealth Management and Treasury Markets unit at the Bank of Cyprus, where he adopted a holistic approach to liaising with large institutional clients. He was responsible for institutional clients’ deposits and investments in excess of EUR 2 billion, and for structuring effective currency, interest rate and commodity risk management solutions, as well as providing institutional and corporate clients with yield enhancement investment ideas.
In 2011, Mr Panayiotou was appointed the Vice President of Barclays Bank, where he spearheaded the bank’s investment advisory services in Cyprus, addressed to the bank’s private, corporate and institutional clients. Moreover, he is also a Chartered Financial Analyst charterholder and a Fellow of the Cyprus Association of Actuaries and currently the President of the CFA Society Cyprus.
At XEMarkets, Mr Panayiotou is responsible for identifying new business opportunities and developing new investment products for clients, as well as in charge of the corporate strategic management of the company.
